Love Towers on the Easter Celebration planning committee prepare for the celebration on March 26, which included a visit from the Easter Bunny, a luncheon, egg hunt and basket giveaway. Residents at Guy B. Love Towers will celebrate the Easter holiday with a visit from the Easter Bunny, egg hunt and basket giveaway on Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Approximately 60 residents are expected to attend from Love Towers, an affordable housing property owned by Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in North Knoxville for seniors and the disabled.
The Easter celebration will begin with an 11 a.m. lunch for residents, provided by Love Towers property management. Simply Unique Florist in North Knoxville donated festive decorations for the fellowship hall. The Easter Bunny role will be played by a resident in costume, who will hand out candy and be available for photo opportunities.
At 11:30 a.m., the resident-led planning committee will hide eggs with candy and prizes in the courtyard. After the egg hunt, the committee will raffle more than 60 Easter baskets, with goodies from stuffed animals, candy, popcorn and snacks to needed household items that were donated by the community.
