Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) has partnered with Matter Health to provide high-quality, on-site primary care for residents at its Northgate Terrace property.
The new wellness center, which is the third to open at a KCDC residential community, provides convenient access to physical and mental health and lifestyle support. It also includes a patient lounge, consultation and virtual health room, and an exam room. Matter Health opened a similar center at KCDC’s Isabella Towers in August.
“Northgate Terrace is the third KCDC property to host a wellness center for its residents,” KCDC Executive Director and CEO Ben Bentley said, “We are fortunate to extend our partnership with Matter Health and provide more residents the opportunity to live healthier lives with better access to medical care.”
Matter Health’s new wellness center at Northgate Terrace will be the company’s seventh in the state and the third in East Tennessee. It is staffed with a full-time provider and a medical assistant. Amenities and services are available to all Northgate Terrace residents.
“We are happy to again partner with KCDC and offer residents of Northgate Terrace a new wellness center,” said Austin Sohr, president and co-founder of Matter Health. “Our goal for these centers is to positively impact the well-being of each person who walks through the doors. We want each person to feel comfortable as a patient and to enjoy the convenience of high-quality medical care.”
Northgate Terrace is located at 4301 Whittle Springs Road in North Knoxville. The property includes 276 studio and one-bedroom apartments exclusively for disabled people and seniors ages 62 and over.
