Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) has promoted Nancy White to the position of chief financial officer (CFO).
“Nancy has extensive experience in overseeing finances at both non-profit organizations and governmental entities, and she is well suited to the CFO position at KCDC,” said Ben Bentley, executive director and CEO of KCDC. “As a member of the executive management team, she will oversee the financial reporting and management of all KCDC programs and already has demonstrated her commitment to excellence.”
White, who had most recently served as senior director of finance for KCDC, is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and accountancy from the University of Tennessee.
In her new role as CFO, she oversees financial reporting and management for all KCDC programs.
Prior to joining KCDC, White served on the executive leadership team at the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority as vice president of finance and oversaw financial operations, reporting and internal audit. She also worked as a financial analyst for Tennessee Valley Authority and as controller for Emerald Youth Foundation.
White resides in Maynardville with her spouse, Allen, and is involved in the community as a UT Mentor, Mountain Music Kids Fishing Tournament volunteer, Union County Under the Tree toy distribution volunteer, and an Emerald Youth Foundation volunteer. In her spare time, she enjoys eating, exercising, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
