Nadim Jubran has been appointed by Mayor Indya Kincannon to serve on the Board of Commissioners for Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC). The board oversees programs provided by KCDC, including affordable housing administration and redevelopment.
Jubran is a partner in Capstone Concepts, LLC, in the restaurant industry; owner of PIER Group, LLC, in the recreation industry; and a founding member and partner of professional soccer team One Knoxville SC.
“Nadim is a successful entrepreneur and businessowner in Knoxville and also is committed to community service,” KCDC Executive Director and CEO Ben Bentley said. “KCDC will benefit immensely from his enthusiasm, experience and expertise, and we welcome Nadim to the board.”
Jubran serves as a board member for the Knoxville Chamber and has held positions as vice chair of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Council and executive and finance committees. He also serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Knoxville and is current board chair of 4 Market Square, Inc., the organization that houses the Knoxville Fellows Program of which Jubran is an alumnus from Class 5.
His community service includes steering committee and mentor for the first cohort at 100Knoxville, a business accelerator program by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center; steering committee for Connect Knox, part of Leadership Knoxville; Lakeshore Park Conservancy fundraising campaign co-chair; Leadership Knoxville Class of 2022; and inaugural steering committee for the Endeavor Summit for young professionals.
Jubran earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a focus on entrepreneurship from the University of Alabama. He lives in Knoxville with his wife Callie and three children Mabry, Sam and George.
Jubran will serve a five-year term. Seven members of KCDC’s Board of Commissioners are appointed by the Knoxville mayor.
